McKayla Rose Maroney retired from the sport of artistic gymnastics to become a performer. She won two medals at the Summer Olympics 2012, one for the American team known as the Fierce Five and another as an individual vaulter. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney born December 9th, 1995 in Aliso Viejo California. She is the daughter of Erin Maroney. McKayla is of Irish Catholic descent. McKayla has two sisters, Tarynn and Kav, and attended home school in order to become an elite gymnast. Maroney told us she "when I was a kid, I was a fan of Tarzan and play through the streets on all fours. My mother would say"I must put this child in gymnastics. Lauren Drain is an ex-member of Westboro Baptist Church. She published her memoir Banished (2013) in which she documents her experiences with the church and eventually being banished. Lauren has married the fitness model David Kagan in August 2013. Aria Skye Kagan (born December 29th 2019,) is their daughter. Lauren lived briefly in Topeka by herself, but she was plagued with the recollections of her being kicked out of the church and her family. Her father, mother, sister, and brother are all part of the same church. However, her parents, along with two other sisters have cut off all contact with the girl.
